Jenn and Steve-Married!!

I first met Jenn and Steve in March at the Twin Cities Bridal Fair and I instantly fell in love with the two of them because they are were a non-stop laugh.

Jenn and Steve were married on August 22, 2008, just one day short of their 9 year anniversary, at Como Park.

We meet at Jenn's parent's house in Woodbury before heading over to Como. It was fun to see everyone so relaxed before the big event. When I first arrived, Steve was watching a movie while the groomsmen played pool. The girls were eating lunch and telling stories while they were getting ready.

Jenn and Steve didn't see each other until right before we were going to leave for Como. It was one of the moments that makes your heart melt. Steve looked at Jenn and instantly leaned in to give her a kiss. A few seconds later, he was making her laugh.

The ceremony took place in the Sunken Garden. The scent of flowers illuminated the entire room while the two of them were joined in marriage. Jenn was beaming through the whole ceremony and I caught Steve taking multiple deep breathes. The emotions were definitely being felt, not just by the two of them, but by all of their family and friends.

After the ceremony we walked over to The Porch for their reception. The mood was light and filled with laughter. It didn't take long before everyone was getting down on the dance floor.

Stay tuned for Jenn and Steve's Day After Session (aka Trash the Dress or as Steve called it "Tease the Dress").

Jenn and Steve-I have already told you this, but I cannot say it enough. Thank you. Thank you for allowing me to photograph your wedding day. The two of you have really touched my heart and I am so thankful to know you.

Grant's 1st Birthday

I have a little song that I like to sing on birthdays. I learned it from a tape when I was little that my friend's sister had. It makes absolutely no sense, which is probably why I like it. Here it goes:

My name is Zoom and I live on the moon and I came down to Earth just to sing you this tune. Hey Grant! It's your birthday!!

Grant turned 1 about a week and a half ago so it was time to put on his Twins jersey and play some ball. And boy oh boy, can that kid throw a ball. I had to dodge the ball quite a few times when we were playing catch. He has a strong arm.

Jenny and Adam-Married!!!

Yup, that is right...Jenny and Adam are married! They were married on August 16, 2008 at Jenny's parent's house and it was BEAUTIFUL.

There were so many personal touches incorporated into the day. Jenny wore a necklace that had been in the family for 5 generations and she wore her mother's veil. Before the ceremony started Jenny gave her niece a "Bride Ring" and her little face just lite up. It was really touching.

The actual ceremony took place in the garden in the backyard in front of their immediate family. I could tell that a lot of hard work and love went into creating the beautiful garden.

After the ceremony, it was Summit time....

Later in the evening a reception was held at Backroads in Nowthen, MN. The place was filled with eager dancers and lots of good memories being shared.

The whole day was amazing.

Jenny and Adam- Thank you so much for including me in your wedding plans and in on your wedding day. I adore the two of you so much! You are great as individuals and unbelievably amazing together.

Kevin's Senior Portrait

I had a blast photographing Kevin's Senior Portraits a few days ago. The time just flew by because we were having such a great time. We started with some shots in studio and then headed out. Our ultimate destination...Anoka. I knew that there was a cool semi trailer and brick walls that matched Kevin's Ambercrombie and Fitch style.

On our way to Anoka and I pulled the car over at a little park that is on the Mississippi River. We had to walk down (and eventually up) 92 stairs to get to this location, but it was worth it.
Here is the cool brick that I was telling ya' about. I just love it.

The day was not complete until we snapped a few images of Kevin with his new Monti Carlo. I can see why it is his pride and joy.

Sarah and Terry-Married

Sarah and Terry were originally going to get married in October of this year, that was until Sarah was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a form of cancer, a few weeks ago. Within a matter of a days, they were making plans to move up the wedding.

After I heard that they were going to move the wedding to August, I started to think about a phrase that is often incorporated into wedding vows; "through sickness and in health". Before Sarah and Terry stood in front of their friends and family, they made a commitment to each other to be there through sickness and in health. That speaks volumes about their relationship and the strength of their love.

Sarah and Terry met their parents and some friends at the Anoka County Government Center. Everyone arrived early and anxiously waited for the Judge to come.
The ceremony was very surreal. The Judge took us to a little park in the Government Center that was very cozy. You could feel the emotions of the day illuminating off of the walls.

Afterwards, we found a little park so that Sarah and Terry could enjoy the moment with each other.
Sarah and Terry-thank you for allowing me to witness your wedding. The two of you are an inspiration to me.

Pam and Grant- Engaged!

I recently photographed Pam and Grant at French Regional Park in Plymouth for their engagement session. Along with them, can their 3 beautiful pups! We strolled around from walk trail to walk trail just enjoying the day. It was wonderful. I kept noticing that the light kept peeking through the trees, illuminating Pam. She glowed like an angel all day long! It was amazing. I just cannot even picture how beautiful she is going to look at her wedding. She is just going to be gorgeous. Here is the slideshow that I created for them:
