Heart is where your Home is

Occasionally I receive calls from Marilyn Ranelle of Keller Williams Realty to photograph a house that she is about to help sell for a client. This is a little bit of a change of pace for me as I mostly photograph people, but I am always up to it because I get to meet people that are starting a new adventure in their life. Whether they are buying a larger home because they are starting a family, purchasing land to enjoy or downsizing because they just don't need a large house anymore. Every house has a story and every family that lives there has one too. When a photograph a house, I cannot help but wonder what memories are going to be created in it with the next family that moves in.

Jennifer and Steven

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Steven's wedding. It was absolutely amazing.

From the moment that I ran into Steven outside of the church, he was beaming with a huge smile on his face. He kept that smile the entire day. The only time that I saw him without it was when we lined up all of the guys for a "Men in Black" shot. It took him a few tries to get the smile off and when he finally did, he just didn't look right.

Jenni was gitty all day and her eyes twinkled with happiness. I could see how much she loves Steven. He is her world.

I have lots of images from their day. Here are a few that I have processed so far:

Sarah & Terry

The snow is gone (at least for one day) so it is portrait time.

I got to spend Friday evening with a super funny couple...Sarah and Terry. We met at the high school that both of them went too (it was mine too) and roamed the halls. We got a little turned around because the school was remodeled a few years ago, but we eventually found some familiar spots. I have tons of adorable shots from these guys. Here are a few.

This softball field was dedicated to Sarah's Dad a few years back. He was heavily involved in the Elk River girls softball team. It is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful person.
